Message from Jennifer Abril and Tom Leahy
September 1, 2020
Dear Attendees and Exhibitors,
Registration is now open for the 2021 Specialty & Custom Chemicals Show!
As we forge ahead in bringing suppliers and customers to Fort Worth, TX on February 9-11, we are excited to jointly announce the transition of ownership from Chemicals America to the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA), formalizing SOCMA’s transition from event partner to full owner.
As leaders of SOCMA and Chemicals America, we share a mutual mission and vision to support the continued success of the specialty chemical supply chain and want to ensure you that we are committed to providing a safe experience conducive to face-to-face interactions.
The show you have come to know and enjoy will largely retain the same format in 2021, with changes based solely on social distancing and safety guidelines as directed by the Omni Hotel and City of Fort Worth, TX. To this end, we are:
- Working with the Omni Fort Worth to develop a floor plan that incorporates adjusted booth spaces and wider aisles to meet social distancing guidelines.
- Requiring facemasks and adherence to all safety measures in place at the time of the show.
- Foregoing the Cowboys & Chemicals networking event to decrease additional exposure.
Throughout the coming months, the SOCMA and Chemicals America teams will work closely together to ensure a seamless transition of the Specialty & Custom Chemicals Show, and you will see members of both organizations on the floor in Fort Worth. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out directly to either of us with any feedback or questions.
Thank you for your support and we can’t wait to see you in Fort Worth!
